Hi! We, Cristina Spoiala (left) and Wendy Smit (right), represent the students of the master Social and Health Psychology (SHP) as members of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC).

What we do

As student members of the PAC, we represent all the students in our programme by listening to their problems and suggestions for improvement. We will communicate these to the master’s staff, and together with both students and staff we will search for ways to solve problems and improve the programme further. We also provide useful information to the Board of Studies (BoS) about issues within our master that may be relevant to other masters as well.

Wendy is a first year SHP student. She finished the Bachelor Pedagogical Sciences in Utrecht. She has been part of the student representation before and is interested in finding out how the representation and organization of a small master differs from a large bachelor programme. Since the current first year SHP class is double the size of the previous year, she wants to make sure students are heard. Therefore, she aims to pass feedback on clearly and approach meetings with a critical mind.

Cristina is a second year SHP research masters student. She studied Psychology previously at bachelor level, Lancaster University, UK. Given that she is in her last year of her studies one of her aims will be to ensure that the students are given the right opportunities to prosper after their masters. She will be ensuring that their views are continuously represented in meetings by keeping her classmates up to date with changes and meeting within the faculty.
